This is an older one but still a favorite.
Wow, this is great! Really fantastic painting. Also, congrats on the DD!
Reminds me so much of Christian Reese Lassen, but it's fantastically beautiful and unique in it's own right. Very impressive to do it tradtionally and not digitally. The sunlight through the water on their backs must've taken hours to paint.
Deserved nomination!Orcas are so very graceful.....Thank you for sharing
First thoughts were "holy crap this is amazing."
Ahhh! Orcas in the daily deviation! I don't see this every day. What a beautiful picture!
You should have this made into a puzzle!
I really love this. It's like seeing both over and under water at the same time. Huge congrats on the DD! I love seeing new techniques, new concepts I haven't seen before. So happy that your work has been showcased today.
this is gorgeous!!!! what medium did you use?
Love the concept!
Beautiful art and a well deserved DD! <3
how could this be a traditional painting? ..i-i dont even
really do not understand the concept..
Congrats on the DD
Impressive! Love the details. So nice.
this makes me think of Dali, was he your inspiration? Love it
Congratulations on the Daily Deviation!
Great paintings! Love the concept and its unique!
I love the way you use forms and shapes in this image, and of course the wonderful overlying of images. The orcas are beautifully painted. They remind me of the Alaskan Cruise my husband and I went on in 2012; one of our excursions off ship was on board a boat designed for getting good photographs, and we got lots of wonderful orca photos. Always spectacular watching that tall dorsal fin on the big male rising up out of the water. Congrats on the DD!
That is incredible. Excellent work
Gorgeous piece, wow. Congrats on the DD too!
This is so amazing! Great style! I love this composition! Really great!
Wow, beautiful. This is an amazing piece of work, especially impressed with your use of traditional media. Gorgeous.
I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this. Congratulations Graeme!
This is so wonderful, the colours, the composition, the colouring. I thought it was done digitally, but wow, it takes great skill to create something like this with traditional media. Love it.
Love the way you handle the colours and reflections. A beautiful piece
That reminds me of the works of Schim Schimmel (and I've always been a huge Schimmel fan). I love the colours.
give this man a fav
Interesting layout ._.
beautiful souls, and a beautiful painting
SO very magic and amazing !!!
My favorite animal!!! I love the lore surrounding killer whales!
I like how you put this
Whoa, this is some stellar piece! I have no idea why no one commented yet The colours are beautiful, awesome job on how everything gets reflected in the water (also how you can stil see a bit of the big bull through the surface) Of course also enormously creative to put in the underwater 'box' with the dorsal fin shapes below. Fantastic painting
